Volunteer to Protect Florida’s Special Places

Audubon Florida is a strong voice for Florida’s public lands. We helped keep 52 parks from closure, have stopped incompatible uses like golf courses and oversized RV parks from gobbling up parks, and have led the way on funding to support land acquisition and management of public lands.

To become part of our powerful online conservation network representing 20,000 voices statewide, go to fl.audubon.org/signup and register to receive the Advocate newsletter. This network has been responsible for helping Audubon influence important legislative and regional policy issues.

To help us build public support for Florida’s Special Places by connecting people with nature and showcasing the magnificence of these lands in the print and online media, email flconservation@audubon.org.  Volunteer writers and photograpers are needed to develop columns on special places and to nominate your favorite park or natural site online at http://www.floridasspecialplaces.org
